What is the Loreclusive save file?

The ‘Loreclusive save file’ is a save file I filled myself with townies and builds. It includes lore from other sims games as well as sims 4 lore and lore I created myself. I know other people have created similar save files. I have not looked at them so their saves don’t influence mine, but feel free to add your favorite lore save files in the comments so others can check them out.

Needed Packs

I already had quite a few packs when I started working on this and have gotten more throughout the time it took me to finish the safe. However, you do not actually need to have all the packs I have to play this save (even if the game tells you you do).

Here are the packs I have:

Get To Work, Get Together, City Living, Vampires, Cats & Dogs, University, My Wedding Stories, Werewolfs, High School years, Growing Together, Spooky Stuff, Seasons, Bowling Stuff, Toddler Stuff,

The ones in italics are the packs I owned before I even started the save.

Here are the packs you need (and why):

You can of course technically play without owning those packs, but you will have naked sims and missing furniture and stuff like that.

Cats & Dogs (because a lot of households have pets and I also used beds and other furniture from the pack)

City Living (because I used a lot of build and CAS items from this pack)

Here are the packs you don’t need (and why):

Laundry stuff (I will post two versions of this save for download: one with and one without washing machines, so you can decide which you want even if you own the pack. If I have added other stuff from the pack to both files it is not important, you can play with those little things gone without trouble).

Vampires and Werewolfs (I made sure to only use things from the vampire pack in Forgotten Hollow and things from the Werewolf pack in Moonwood Mill)

Spooky Stuff (I only used this on certain lots. Most lots don’t have anything from this pack and for the ones that do… well, it’s mainly decorations and you may be missing some wallpapers)

If you have packs I don’t have you may have some townies twice as I created my own versions (e.g. Izzy Fabulous). Those are packs I don’t intent on buying as I am personally not interested in them (or at least not at the time you are reading this).

Additional Gameplay with mods

If you have RPO, Open Love Life and the LGBTQIA mod by Lumpinou there is additional gameplay added with every mod. Every sim in my save file has family & relationship preferences as well as labels for their sexuality and/or gender identity. All of the added traits fit the official lore and traits. A non-commited sim will now prefer non-commited relationships and a sim that hates children will not ever want any, while a sim that is non-flirty may be aromantic, for example.

There is also aditional gameplay if you have the Healthcare Redux, Divergent Sims, Eyecare and dental care mods by adeepindigo. Some sims have physical and/or mental health issues that, again, fit their lore and traits. A clumsy sim may now have dyspraxia and an erratic sim may be schizophrenic, while sims having hearing aids will actually have the deaf trait and sims with glasses eye conditions and bad sight.

If you have the Language Barriers mod by frankk all the sims have native languages and language skills based on their lineage and where they currently live.

If you are over 18 you may find some of the more adult mods have also been addedif you use them, however I will not say here how they affect gameplay as I don’t want to talk about adult mods where minors could read about them. So have fun figuring out what is added through gameplay.

All townies and lots were uploaded to the gallery by me. There is no CC, if the gallery shows CC for the townies it’s because of the More Traits in CAS mod. If the lots show CC it’s because I added (family) pictures I made of the sims.

Bachelor Family

The Bachelor Family is the family of Bella Goth (born Bachelor). Their house is based on the Bachelor Family Home from The Sims 3. In the Loreclusive Safe File Bella’s older brother Michael still lives in the house. I have created other generations of the family and uploaded them to the gallery. I also added Simella de Vil (Bella’s evil twin sister), a sim that only existed for a quest in ‘The Sims Social’. I did this just for the fun of it and gave her some lore. You can delete her from the game if you want.

San Sequoia keeps the original San Sequoia townies because of the San Sequoia secrets, the main difference in my version is probably that they actually have relationships with each other that reflect what is said in those.

The Robles Family

The Robles Family is a multi-generational household. I took the original lot and renovated it, so it looks different yet similar. I tried to make it reflect the family lore a bit more and although Bernice is not showing in the beginning of the game I prepared the home for the new addition(s) to the famiy (interestingly this safe is the first one I have where she is pregnant with twins – so be prepared if you plan to play the household).

The Robles-Ruano Family

The Ghost

He does not live on a lot but you may encounter the ghost of a prominent figure in the history of San Sequoia. You may also find his grave if you wander around.
